Hey, I have to tell you something. The first time I came to your blog, I saw your picture (your "before" one with your daughter) and I was immediately struck by how much you reminded me of my mother. Not so much in the second picture, but in the first one, wow.
Today again I looked at that picture and you soo resemble my mother. Then I noticed your beginning stats. My mom was 5'3 and about 245 pounds, in her 50's. Seriously, I have an emotional moment every time I come to your blog because I see my Mom when I see you.
You are my sunshine my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. Yu'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't talk my sunshine away.
I am not sure of the era of that old song...maybe 1800's??
When I saw this beautiful picture of you, the song for some reason, came into my mine. Once I typed out the words, they really don't make sense...but your image to me is my sunshine...you make me so happy when my skies are grey...and none of us really know how much we really love each other....so maybe the song does make sense.
Keep on keeping on...you are the image of the invisible God.
Hey Karyn, I was born in Saskatchewan and have been living in the Lloydminster area for the past 16 years...so totally Canadian born & bred. My partner was offered a job (promotion) in Houston and we jumped at the opportunity to move...a new start...the best move we could have ever made. I hear it's cold there right now...my aunt in Okotoks said they were calling for snow last night...YICK!! Don't miss that one bit.
Anyway, it's so great to meet you and for some reason you look familiar to me...not sure why?? Even your daughter in the photo looks familiar. My partner, Rhonda, says I must just be able to pick out a fellow Albertan without even knowing it....LOL.
We actually moved to TX on March 1...so it was nice and warm when we got here and actually, we thought it was hot then. I originally thought that I wasn't going to survive the summer and that I was gonna be cooped up indoors but we've adjusted to the climate very well. It is hot here but that doesn't stop us from venturing out and exploring. I LOVE Galveston and before we purchased our house with a pool, we spent most Sundays on the beach in Galveston. But having a pool in my back yard is much better than travelling to go swimming. The housing prices are insane here...we purchased an 1800 sq ft house with a pool, hottub, 2 car garage & shop for under $140,000...crazy!
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I read your info and really hope you're changing your mind about feeling like a failure. You never fail unless you just stop trying. I am on my 100th time trying but I will figure it out and so will you! Enjoy your journey to becoming the person you wish to be. I'll be checking in with you along the way =)
I live in Airdrie AB. I moved here from Calgary 1.5yrs ago and from Abbotsford BC to Calgary in 2000.
My dog food isn't sold in retail. We do deliveries to local area's or our customers pick it up from us.

Anyway, I like you just because of that :)
And I like your blog as well. LOL.

lyn...I am honored that you are reminded of your mom by me. Visit often, I like you, too.
Jim...you are my sweetheart then and now, more than ever.
Oh, and Jim....maybe that song popped into your head because that is the song I sing to Seth all the time.

Out of the mouths of babes!
Can't they be brutally (almost painfully) honest at times.
I love that pic of you! you were (and still are) so beautiful.
Isn't that sad how even then, you thought you were fat. I did the same thing when I was a teen. Why do we do that to ourselves???
